Our Story

Baldwin Preparatory Academy was created to give students across Baldwin County a stronger connection between what they learn in school and where that learning can take them.

A new model for career-connected learning

Baldwin Preparatory Academy was created to give students across Baldwin County a stronger connection between what they learn in school and where that learning can take them. Developed by Baldwin County Public Schools in partnership with the Baldwin Alliance, Baldwin Prep brings academic instruction, technical training and real-world experience together in one place. Students can explore high-demand industries, earn certifications and college credit, and build relationships with employers before graduation.

The response was immediate. Baldwin Prep received more than 1,500 student applications and welcomed 770 students, including 270 seniors, during its first year. That demand reflects a shared belief that students deserve more than a traditional path through high school. They deserve the chance to discover what they are good at, understand where opportunities exist and begin preparing for what comes next.
